Patricia Beck, 'Trisha' as she signs her pictures, trained at Camberwell School of Fine Arts. Among others, her tutors included John Minton, Clifford White and M Russell.
She has held solo exhibitions at :-Frankfurt in Germany
Hall Place Gallery in Bexley,
St Andrews Art Centre in Gravesend,
Fagan's Art Shop, Gravesend,
Birchington Library,
Broadstairs Library,
and in several locations in Hartley,Kent.
She hasd also contributed to joint exhibitions at :-
the Nevill Gallery Canterbury,
Thanet's Fine Arts, Margate,
and also in exhibitions in Minster, Sandwich, Broadstairs and Cliffs End.
She has now retired from teaching, and resides in Broadstairs. She loves the sea, and enjoys painting landscapes which have mood and atmosphere.
Her work embraces a wide rannge of subject matter including animals, portraits and flora. For her the most important ingredients are colour, atmosphere and light. She says "that anyone can learn to paint, but for her it is a compulsion.
